Ecoflex 550 is a stable and reliable high-performance gasket, manufactured using the company's proprietary X-Fil multi-crystalline alumina fiber. This fiber is designed to optimize and enhance various performance aspects of the gasket to meet demanding application conditions.

Ecoflex 550 combines the brand craftsmanship of the Ecoflex product series with innovative fiber technology, delivering excellent performance under extreme conditions such as severe vibration, high temperatures, and large gap applications. This innovative fiber exhibits high elasticity and contains only trace amounts of inhalable fibers. The inhalable fiber content in both X-Fil fiber and Ecoflex 550 gasket is less than 0.1%, complying with stringent workplace regulations.

Ecoflex 550 is suitable for a full range of exhaust gas treatment applications, including ultra-thin wall substrates, oxidation catalyst substrates, selective catalytic reduction substrates, and diesel and gasoline particulate filters, meeting all requirements. Compared to other multi-crystalline fiber gaskets, Ecoflex 550's key performance advantage lies in its higher retention force when installed in applications with large relative gap expansion (RGE%). Its superior performance allows engineers to achieve the same application requirements with lower surface density, resulting in cost savings. With a binder content below 7%, Ecoflex 550 meets the low-temperature performance needs of multi-crystalline fiber gaskets while adhering to OEM binder content requirements. It also demonstrates excellent erosion resistance under direct airflow impact without requiring additional edge protection.
